The Liga II 2007/08 was the 68th season of the second highest Romanian football league . It started on August 25, 2007 and ended on May 24, 2008 . From the end of November 2007 to the end of February 2008 the game was closed ( winter break ). Promoted to League 1 were FC Braşov , CS Otopeni , FC Argeş Piteşti and Gaz Metan Mediaş .

mode

League II was played in two seasons with 18 teams each. The two first-placed teams of each season rose to League 1 , while the four last-placed teams had to relegate to League III . Second teams from first division clubs were not eligible for promotion. There were three points for a win, one for a draw and no point for a loss. If there was a tie at the end of the season, it was not the goal difference that decided , but the direct comparison .
