The Divizia A 1993/94 was the 54th season of the second highest Romanian football league and the second of the Divizia A as only the second highest football league. FC Argeş Piteşti and FC Maramureş Baia Mare rose to the Divizia Națională .

The league was played in two seasons with 18 teams each. The two winners rose to the Divizia Națională. The two bottom of the table were relegated to the third-class Divizia B. There were two points for a win, one point for a draw and no point for a loss. If two or more teams were tied at the end of the season, it was not the goal difference that decided , but the direct comparison . For relegation, if there was a tie, the Romanian Football Association ordered a playoff.
