The Cupa României in the 1954 season was the 17th tournament for the Romanian Football Cup . The winner was the team of Metalul Reșița playing in Divizia B , which won the final on December 5, 1954 against Dinamo Bucharest . Defending champion Flamura Roşie Arad was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Flacăra Ploieşti .

The clubs of Divizia A only got in the round of the last 32 teams and had to play away first. Only one game was played at a time. If this was a draw after 90 minutes, an extension of 30 minutes followed. If after that there was still no decision, the visiting team moved on to the next round.
