The Cupa României in 1939 was the sixth tournament for the Romanian Football Cup . The winner for the third time in a row was Rapid Bucharest , which was able to prevail in the final against Sportul Studențesc .

The clubs of Divizia A only started in the round of the last 32 teams. Initially, only one game was played. If this was a draw after 90 minutes, an extension of 30 minutes followed. Only when this also ended in a draw was a second leg played to bring about a decision. If the second leg ended in a draw after extra time, home rights were swapped until a winner was determined.
