The Cupa României in the 1951 season was the 14th tournament for the Romanian Football Cup . The winner was for the third time in a row CCA Bucharest , which prevailed in the final on November 8, 1951 against the second division club Flacăra Mediaș and was able to win the double for the first time .

The clubs of Divizia A only got in the round of the last 32 teams and had to play away first. Only one game was played at a time. If this was a draw after 90 minutes, an extension of 30 minutes followed. If after that there was still no decision, the visiting team moved on to the next round.
