The Cupa României in the 2004/05 season was the 67th tournament for the Romanian Football Cup . Dinamo Bucharest won for the twelfth time and for the third time in a row , which won the final on May 11, 2005 against FC Farul Constanța . This qualified Dinamo for the UEFA Cup .

The clubs of Divizia A only started in the round of the last 32 teams. In the round of 16, all games took place in a neutral place. Only one game was played at a time, the quarter-finals and semi-finals were decided in the return leg. If only one game took place and it was tied after 90 minutes or if no decision could be made in both games taking into account the away goals rule , an extension of 30 minutes followed. If after that there was still no decision, the decision was made on penalties .
