Petre Grigoraș (born November 15, 1964 in Poduri ) is a former Romanian football player and current coach . He played a total of 256 games in the Romanian Divizia A and the Bulgarian A Grupa in his active career .

Player career

The career of Grigoraş began in 1984 when aripile Bacau in Divizia C . After promotion in 1985, he fought with his club against relegation, which in 1987 could no longer be avoided. After 22 gates in the season 1987/88 in Divizia C he transferred to rivals SC Bacău in the Divizia A . In 1989, the top club Steaua Bucharest signed him . After the runner-up in 1990 he joined league rival Farul Constanța . In the 1990/91 season he came only to one use before he returned to old strength in the 1991/92 season and secured his team with ten goals relegation.

In the summer of 1992 Grigoraş left Romania and moved to Dobrudscha Dobrich in the Bulgarian A Grupa . A year later, the reigning master Levski Sofia took him under contract. There he could not prevail and already joined the league competitor Lokomotive Plovdiv during the winter break . In the summer of 1994 he returned to Romania to see Farul. After another ten goals in the 1994/95 season , he moved to Universitatea Cluj , but returned to Constanța a year later. After three more seasons, in which the club was always able to place in the lower midfield, he ended his active career in the summer of 1999.

Coaching career

After the end of his active career in 1999, Grigoraş was assistant coach at his former club Farul Constanța . After Farul's relegation to Divizia B in the summer of 2000, he became head coach. After promotion in 2001 , he secured relegation with his club in 2002 . After a bad start to the 2002/03 season, he was released in August 2002. He took over FC Oneşti in Divizia B. After the missed promotion he looked after league competitor Petrolul Moineşti in the 2003/04 season before returning to Farul in the summer of 2004. In the 2004/05 season he led his team to fifth place in the Divizia A. At the end of October 2005, he was dismissed.

At the beginning of 2006, Grigoraş succeeded Aurel Șunda as head coach of O vonelul Galați . After a place in midfield in the 2005/06 season , he finished the 2006/07 season in fifth place, which meant qualifying for the 2007 UI Cup . After another season in the upper midfield, the 2008/09 season ended in twelfth place and Grigoraş was replaced by Dorinel Munteanu . He was hired by league rival Politehnica Iași , but was dismissed there in April 2010 in view of the threat of relegation and replaced by Dumitru Dumitriu . In October 2010 he became the head coach of Pandurii Târgu Jiu . After relegation in 2011 , he led his team to seventh place a year later, before he was dismissed while lying in fourth place during the winter break in the 2012/13 season . Grigoraş returned to Oțelul, with whom he secured relegation.

In August 2013 Grigoraș was head coach of CFR Cluj , but was dismissed there in December 2013. In April 2014 he took over the position of coach at Pandurii Târgu Jiu as the successor to Cristian Pustai . In December 2014 they parted ways again. He then had to wait more than a year before ASA Târgu Mureș signed him at the end of December 2015. In February 2016 he left the club. In March 2016, Poli Timișoara took over from ACS Florin Marin . After just one win in nine games, they parted ways again in May 2016. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season , Grigoraș was the head coach of Pandurii Târgu Jiu. With the ambitious club he only got 24 points up to the winter break and was released again in January 2017.
