Ianis Alin Zicu (born October 23, 1983 in Constanța ) is a former Romanian football player .
Career
society
Zicu began his career in the youth team of his home club Farul Constanța , where he started playing football in 1991. In 1998 he moved to Dinamo Bucharest . In its first season at Dinamo, the club was runner-up behind Steaua Bucharest and won the Romanian Cup by beating AS Rocar Bucharest 4-2 in the final . In the following season he was awarded to the FCM Câmpina. There he rose with the club from the second division .
In 2002/03 he was awarded by Dinamo again and Zicu played for one season with his home club Farul Constanța . The club was tenth in the top Romanian league. In the 2003/04 season he was part of the Dinamos squad when the double was reached. This season the playmaker played for the first time at European club level. He made his debut in a 2-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk on September 24, 2003. After a relatively good performance, he was signed in January 2004 by the Italian top club Inter Milan . But the next until the end of the 2003/04 season at the AC Parma lent.
After an autumn and spring season in Parma , where he played nine games, he returned to Dinamo Bucharest , also on loan . The cup victory could be repeated. After another season in Dinamo dress, where third place was achieved, he played in the 2006/07 season - again as a loan player - at Rapid Bucharest . With Rapid he was able to look forward to a cup triumph for the fourth time.
In the summer of 2007, Zicu was finally handed over to Dinamo Bucharest by Inter. In the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons fourth and third place were achieved. He has been playing for FC Timișoara since summer 2010 . With his new club he closed the 2010/11 season as runner-up behind Oțelul Galați and was top scorer with 18 goals. However, Timișoara was not approved for the 2011/12 season and had to relegate to Liga II . Zicu then left the club and hired the Bulgarian record champions CSKA Sofia .
Already in the winter break 2011/12 Zicu left Sofia again and moved to Pohang Steelers in the South Korean K-League . In mid-2012, he was loaned to league rivals Gangwon FC , to which he finally moved in early 2013. A year later he returned to Petrolul Ploieşti in Romania. In summer 2014 he moved to ASA Târgu Mureș . He finished the 2014/15 season with his team as runner-up behind Steaua Bucharest . He then left ASA and hired ACS Poli Timișoara . With Poli, he finished the 2015/16 season in penultimate place. Zicu returned to Târgu Mureș in the summer of 2016. With the club he was at the bottom of the table in the first half of the 2016/17 season . At the beginning of 2017 he terminated his contract and has been without a club since then.
National team
Internationally, Zicu has played twelve times for the Romanian national soccer team . He was also used in the various youth selections in his home country. He made his debut for the senior team on October 11, 2003 against Japan . The game ended 1-1. In October 2010, Zicu returned to the national team after a three-year break in the European Championship qualifier against France . On March 29, 2011, he scored his first goal against Luxembourg .
