Laurent Duhamel

Laurent Duhamel (born October 10, 1968 in Rouen ) is a French football referee .

Duhamel has whistled for the French association since 1993 . He is a regular player in Ligue 1 ; in the 2007/08 season he had already directed 12 games by February 10, 2008. The French cup finals of 2001 and 2006 are on his balance sheet.

Duhamel has been in use internationally since 2002. He was on the field in eleven international matches; including Switzerland's 2-1 win in a friendly against the Netherlands on August 22, 2007. He has also directed ten UEFA Cup games and six Champions League matches .

In the Champions League he has been involved in games by German teams three times. In the 2005/06 season he played in the 1-1 draw between FC Brugge and FC Bayern Munich . The following season he was referee in the 1: 3 home defeat of Hamburger SV against FC Porto . In the 2007/08 season he whistled on December 11, 2007 in Olympiacos' 3-0 win against Werder Bremen . On February 19, 2008, he was the 23rd man in the first leg of the 2007/08 round of 16 in FC Schalke 04's 1-0 win against FC Porto in Gelsenkirchen .
