Career

The central defender began his career in 1996 with the junior team Școala de fotbal Gică Popescu Craiova , for which he played until 1998. Burcă then moved to Ecuador to CS Emelec for a year .

In 1999 he joined the J. League club JEF United Ichihara Chiba . Here, too, it did not last longer than a year; in July 2000 he returned to his Romanian homeland and signed with FC Universitatea Craiova .

At the beginning of the 2002/03 season, Burcă moved to Dinamo Bucharest , where he was once Romanian champion and twice Romanian cup winner until 2005. In total, he played for Dinamo 46 times in Divizia A and twice in the Champions League . In the 2004/05 season he came in addition to ten inserts for the second team of Dinamo in Divizia B . For the 2005/06 season he went to city rivals FC Național Bucharest and played 39 times in two seasons in Divizia A and scored two goals.

For the 2007/08 season , the defensive player moves to the 1st Bundesliga at Energie Cottbus , where he signed a contract that runs until 2010. Shortly after his signature, he had to undergo an operation and fell out for a long time. A metal plate that had been inserted four months earlier because of a hairline crack in his fibula had caused an infection. He then fought his way into the Bundesliga squad, but fell out again in March due to an adductor strain. In his first season with the Lausitzers therefore he was not used. In the summer of 2008 it was awarded to Beijing Guoan until the end of the year .

After the end of his contract with Energie Cottbus, Burcă moved back to the Romanian League 1 in the summer of 2010 and joined FC Timișoara . There he was able to complete the 2010/11 season with his team as runner-up behind Oțelul Galați . After his club had been denied admission to the 2011/12 season , he moved to league rivals Rapid Bucharest . With his new club he made it to the 2012 cup final , but lost 1-0 to Dinamo Bucharest there . During the winter break of 2012/13 , Burcă and Rapid parted ways. Since then he has been without a club.

In 2013 he and other former players started a legal battle with his old employer Rapid Bucharest in order to claim the outstanding salaries. He was also a few times as a football expert in TV shows and in August 2013 for a short time as coach of the first division club FC Brașov in conversation.
