Manor in Rumpshagen (2010)

The manor house in Rumpshagen , in the Rumpshagen district of the Ankershagen municipality in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, is a two-storey, baroque and plastered brick building from the first half of the 18th century. The broken glass pressed into the plaster of the external facades appears unusual. The manor complex with manor house, two residential and farm buildings and one farm building is a listed building.

The building, erected in 1730–32, is structured by colossal pilasters and covered with a mansard roof. Both on the courtyard and the garden side there are three-axis central projections , which are gabled triangular. The gables contain the coat of arms of those of Voss on the park side and the coat of arms of those of Gundlach on the courtyard side . The builder was Friedrich Ernst von Voss (1700–1738). The manor house was owned by the von Gundlach family from the middle of the 18th century until the end of the Second World War in 1945. The broken glass contained in the plaster comes from the three forest glass huts of the Gundlachs. The garden room is a Rococo - stucco ceiling fitted.

After the war it was used for residential purposes and by the local government. Today it is privately owned again: after 2000, extensive renovation measures took place. A guest apartment and common rooms in the building can be rented.
