Judith Stumper

Judith Stumper, maiden name Borbely, later Patouliou (born August 14, 1965 ), is a former Romanian and now German table tennis player . In 1986 she won the German championship in doubles .

Career

Stumper grew up under her maiden name Borbely in Romania. In 1982 she represented her home country at the European Junior Championships in Hollabrunn, Austria. Together with Olga Nemes she reached the final in doubles.

Following these European championships, she emigrated to Germany and joined MTV Stuttgart . In the same year she married Rudolf Stumper (* 1958), a table tennis player who was also born in Romania. She has a daughter with him, the table tennis player Laura Stumper-Robertson . She achieved her greatest success in 1986 in Stadtallendorf when she won the German doubles championship with Olga Nemes . In addition, she reached the semi-finals in mixed with Reinhard Sefried .

In the same year she moved to the Bundesliga club ATSV Saarbrücken . When the latter withdrew his women's team from the Bundesliga at the end of the 1986/87 season, they returned to MTV Stuttgart. Her next club stations were TSV Betzingen (1988-1990, promotion to 2nd Bundesliga), VfL Sindelfingen (2nd Bundesliga, 1990-1993), DJK Willich (from 1993), MTV Stuttgart (from 1995).

Around 1987 Judith Stumper had separated from Rudolf Stumper. In 1994 she married again and then appeared under the name Judith Patouliou .
