- 1977: In an ammunition depot of the Soviet Army near Dannenwalde (Gransee) , a series of heavy explosions and the detonation of many rockets occur as a result of a lightning strike. The victims of the Dannenwalde missile disaster among the Soviet soldiers are estimated at 70.
