Kurt Goth (born December 17, 1926 , † August 14, 1990 ) was a German football goalkeeper .

Career

Kurt Goth came to Sportfreunde Stuttgart via the two clubs VfR Heilbronn and SpVgg Neckargartach , which played in the Württemberg regional league . There he guarded the goal of the Sportfreunde in 33 games in the Oberliga Süd . But already one season he moved to SpVgg Fürth with whom he celebrated promotion to the Oberliga Süd in the first season. In the following season 1949/50 he was able to qualify with the Fürthern for the final round of the German championship and completed three games in this. Then he returned to Stuttgart and was henceforth active in the 2nd Oberliga Süd for the Stuttgarter Kickers . Here, too, he was promoted to the top division in his first season. In the away game against Eintracht Frankfurt on January 13, 1952 , Goth had to leave the pitch injured in the 52nd minute. Field player Siegfried Kronenbitter went into goal for him . In the course of this season Goth came to no further use and was represented by Gerhard Bechtold , who also asserted himself in the goalkeeping position in the following season and Goth only came to three more appearances for the Kickers. So he moved to Bavaria for SpVgg Erlangen , where he worked as a player- coach for ten years .
