    Promotion round to Oberliga Nord

Eintracht Osnabrück achieved a rescheduling of the game against Blumenthaler SV that Eintracht won 7-1. As a result, in addition to Altona 93 , Osnabrück was promoted instead of Itzehoer SV . Itzehoe protested against this decision. Finally, the Oberliga Nord was increased and Itzehoe was also allowed to rise.

The Oberliga Südwest played as before in two groups. Group North comprised clubs that were based in the northern part of the former French occupation zone (today's Rhineland-Palatinate ). The clubs of the Saarland , which in the meantime formed a formally independent state and whose football association was even an independent member of FIFA, played more or less in their own league, so that no Saarland club took part in the games of the Oberliga Südwest.

In the southern group, also known as "Zone League South", clubs from the southern part of the then French-occupied territory played. The area included the former federal states Baden (South Baden) , Württemberg-Hohenzollern and today politically Bayern belonging Lindau (Bodensee) , which today for association football Württembergischen belongs.
