    Playoff for 14th place

The game Borussia München-Gladbach against Borussia Dortmund on September 3, 1950 (original result 0: 5) was retrospectively rated 2: 0 points and 0: 0 goals for Munich-Gladbach because Dortmund had used a player who was not eligible to play. Decisions at the “green table” were not allowed to be decisive in the championship. Since Borussia Munich-Gladbach reached the fourteenth place with these points, which entitles them to the qualifying round for the Oberliga West, this play-off was necessary. The game took place on May 6, 1951 in Cologne .
