The 1st amateur league Hessen 1950/51 was the first season of the football Hessen league as the third highest division. The master qualified for the promotion round to the second highest German league, the 2nd Oberliga . The Olympia Lampertheim became champion . Descent had SpVgg Bad Homburg , VfL 1860 Marburg , Rödelheimer FC , VfL Kassel , VfL Biedenkopf , SV 06 Rothenditmold and Hessisch Lichtenau FV .

Borussia Fulda took part in the first  German amateur championship in 1951  , but failed in the quarter-finals at SSV Troisdorf 05 (Middle Rhine).
