The 1. Amateur League Hessen 1954/55 was the fifth season of the Football Hessen League as the third highest division. The master qualified for the promotion round to the second highest German league, the 2nd Oberliga . Champion was SpVgg Bad Homburg , but renounced participation in the promotion round to the II. Division in favor of Borussia Fulda , which could not prevail there and thus the league was retained for the following season. Rot-Weiss Walldorf , SpVgg Nassau Wiesbaden and Rot-Weiss Frankfurt had to relegate .
