The football league Hessen 1984/85 was the seventh season of the highest amateur class of the Hessian Football Association . Viktoria Aschaffenburg became champion and rose to the 2nd Bundesliga .

    Promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga

    Viktoria Aschaffenburg took second place in the group south in the subsequent round of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga and was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga.

    German amateur championship

    As Hessian representative, CSC 03 Kassel took part in the 1985 German Amateur Championship and was eliminated in the quarter-finals against VfR Mannheim .

    Relegation to the regional league

    Borussia Fulda, SV Wiesbaden and Rot-Weiss Frankfurt were relegated directly. After a 0: 1 defeat in the play-off because of a tie against TuSpo Ziegenhain, RSV Würges was also relegated. Due to the relegation of Kickers Offenbach from the 2nd Bundesliga, the Kickers amateurs had to relegate to the state league and continued to play as Kickers Offenbach II.
