The football Oberliga Westfalen 1984/85 was the seventh season of the Oberliga Westfalen . The champions were SC Eintracht Hamm , three points ahead of DSC Wanne-Eickel . In the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga , Hamm was fourth in the northern group and therefore missed promotion. Runner-up Wanne-Eickel took part in the amateur championship and lost 3-0 in the final against the amateurs from Werder Bremen . The relegation ranks were occupied by VfB Waltrop and FC Gohfeld . SuS Hüsten 09 and 1. FC Recklinghausen rose from the association league . TuS Schloß Neuhaus and 1. FC Paderborn merged on July 1, 1985 to form TuS Paderborn-Neuhaus . The league played in the 1985/86 season with 17 teams.
