The Berlin Amateur Football League 1950/51 was the first season of the top amateur class in West Berlin after the end of all of Berlin's football operations. The amateur league Berlin formed the substructure of the contract league Berlin since 1950 . Berlin amateur champions 1951 was VfL Nord Berlin , which represented Berlin at the amateur championship of the DFB and rose to the contract league. The second climber in the contract league was BFC Nordstern , while Alemannia 06 Haselhorst and SC Hakoah Berlin were relegated from the amateur league.

Until the end of the 1949/50 season, joint cross-sector gaming operations took place in Berlin. After the Association of Berliner Ballspielvereine (VBB), founded in West Berlin in 1949, announced that it would introduce contract player status for the highest Berlin league , all East Berlin teams withdrew from joint gaming operations and switched to leagues of the German Sports Committee .
In West Berlin, the contract league was set up as the top division for the 1950/51 season and the amateur league as its substructure . The contract league replaced the city league in West Berlin , while the single-track amateur league replaced the two-track district league as the second highest division.
