The Frohnauer SC , or FSC for short , is a sports club from Berlin-Frohnau that was founded on July 12, 1946 as the Frohnau sports group . His club colors are black and white. On June 15, 1950, it was renamed to its current name.
Soccer
In 1989 one rose to the then third-class football league Berlin , from which one however immediately relegated and was assigned to the newly founded Verbandsliga Berlin . There you could win the championship title in 1993 and rose to the NOFV-Oberliga Mitte , from which you as table-16. straight down again. In 2002 they were relegated from the Association League to the State League, and in 2005 they returned to the Association League for one season. After the club became season champion in group 2 of the regional league in the 2008/09 season, played in the - nationally speaking - sixth class Berlin league until relegation in 2012 . After relegations to the regional league (2013) and the one division lower lying district league (2014), he was promoted to the regional league in 2017 and reassigned to the Berlin league in 2018.
Venue
His home ground is in Berlin-Reinickendorf on Schönfließer Straße and is known colloquially as the “Poloplatz”. However, the origin of the name lies further north, where an equestrian club with one of the few polo fields in Berlin is located immediately adjacent. Polo is no longer played there today . The football pitches consist of a stadium, which is surrounded by a running track, an artificial turf and a small pitch, on which, for example, the youth teams play.
