The Berlin Amateur Football League 1973/74 was the twenty-fourth and final season of the Berlin Amateur League as the highest amateur class in West Berlin . The Amateur League Berlin was below the Regionalliga Berlin and thus on the third highest German league level. Berlin amateur champions 1974 and Berlin representative at the amateur championship of the DFB was SC Staaken .
As part of the league reform of 1974, the five regional leagues , including the Regionalliga Berlin , were dissolved and replaced by the two-pronged 2nd Bundesliga . The Oberliga Berlin was set up as the new top amateur class in West Berlin . The Berlin amateur league, now at the fourth German league level, continued to exist as its foundation. In 1978 the amateur league was renamed the Landesliga .
The eight best-placed clubs in the 1973/74 amateur league season were transferred directly to the new league. The clubs in places nine and ten played against the last two representatives of the Regionalliga Berlin for the last two places in the Oberliga. In the amateur league, the clubs stayed in positions eleven to fifteen. The three last-placed clubs had to be relegated with the representatives of the subordinate A-class Berlin.
