The Hamburg State Football League 1973/74 was the 29th season of the top amateur class in Hamburg . The Landesliga Hamburg was a league level below the Regionalliga Nord . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , no team from the Regionalliga Nord came into the regional league, only the four promoted SC Vorwärts Billstedt ( promotion after 23 years), SV Curslack-Neuengamme , VfL 93 Hamburg and TuRa Harksheide (all three for the first time in the regional league).

The winner was SC Victoria Hamburg , which rose directly to the newly founded Oberliga Nord . The second and third placed, SC Poppenbüttel and SV Blankenese , took part in the qualification for the Oberliga Nord . There Poppenbüttel took second place in his group and rose, while Blankenese missed promotion in fourth place.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last two places. The Eidelstedter SV had to leave the league after two years, Union 03 Altona after four years.
