The Football Association League Hamburg 1982/83 was the 38th season of the highest amateur class of the Hamburg Football Association . The Association League Hamburg was a league level below the Oberliga Nord . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , SV Lurup came back to the Association League after one season from the Oberliga Nord, plus the two promoted SV Börnsen ( promotion after two years) and FSV Harburg (for the first time in the highest Hamburg amateur class).

The winner was SV Lurup. Together with the runner-up Hummelsbütteler SV he took part in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord . Lurup won his group and rose, while Hummelsbüttel finished his group in third place and thus missed the promotion.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last three places. FSV Harburg had to leave the association league after one season, VfL Stade after eight years and TSV Duwo 08 after 15 seasons.
