The Hamburg Football Association 2001/02 was the 57th season of the top amateur class of the Hamburg Football Association . The Association League Hamburg was a league level below the Oberliga Nord . It was held in a relay.
Compared to the previous season , the TuS Dassendorf came back into the Association League after two years and the Harburger TB 1865 after seven years through voluntary withdrawal from the Oberliga Nord, plus the four promoted Holstein Quickborn, Meiendorfer SV (both re- promotion after two years), Wedeler TSV (re-promotion after one season) and TSV Sasel (re-promotion after 35 years).
The winner was Meiendorfer SV, which made it through from the regional league to the Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein major league . The runner-up Altona 93 played two promotion games against the runner-up of the Schleswig-Holstein Association League , TSB Flensburg , and also rose.
At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last three places. Glashütte SV had to leave the association league after eight seasons, SV Blankenese after seven years and Bramfelder SV after two years.
