The Hamburg State Football League 1970/71 was the 26th season of the top amateur class in Hamburg . The Landesliga Hamburg was a league level below the Regionalliga Nord . It was held in a relay.
Compared to the previous season , SC Concordia Hamburg came back to the regional league after 14 years and ASV Bergedorf 85 after twelve years from Regionalliga Nord, plus the three promoted Wilhelmsburger FV 09 ( promotion after one season), Union 03 Altona (return after three Years) and SC Poppenbüttel (for the first time in the regional league).
The winner was VfL Pinneberg . Together with the runner-up SV Blankenese he took part in the promotion round to Regionalliga Nord . There both of them missed promotion as third and fourth in their group.
At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last two places. Holsatia Elmshorn had to leave the league after six years. Altona 93 rose for the first time from the state league.
