The football regional league Hamburg 1976/77 was the 32nd season of the highest amateur class of the Hamburg Football Association . The Landesliga Hamburg was a league level below the Oberliga Nord . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , no team from the Oberliga Nord came into the regional league, only the two promoted SC Urania Hamburg ( promotion after eleven years) and Viktoria Wilhelmsburg-Veddel (return after 19 years).

The winner was VfL Pinneberg . Together with the runner-up Altona 93 , he took part in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord . While Pinneberg succeeded as group winner, Altona did not prevail as second in his group.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last two places. The SC Poppenbüttel had to relegate two years after his relegation from the Oberliga Nord also from the regional league, Holsatia Elmshorn had previously played in the regional league for three years.
