The Hamburg Amateur Football League 1961/62 was the 17th season of the top amateur class in Hamburg . The Hamburg amateur league was a league level below the Northern Oberliga . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , no team from the Oberliga Nord came into the amateur league, only the three promoted Langenhorner TSV (return after eleven seasons), Raspo Elmshorn and Hamburger SV Amateure (both re- promotion after two seasons).

The winner was SC Victoria Hamburg . Together with the runner-up TSV Uetersen , he took part in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord . There they both missed promotion as second and third place in their group.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last three places. Grün-Weiß Hamburg had to leave the amateur league after six seasons, Ahrensburger TSV after three seasons and Viktoria Harburg after four seasons.
