The Hamburg Amateur Football League 1959/60 was the 15th season of the top amateur class in Hamburg . The Hamburg amateur league was a league level below the Northern Oberliga . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , no team from the Oberliga Nord came into the amateur league, only the three promoted Rasensport Harburg (return after three seasons), Ahrensburger TSV (re- promotion after one season) and FC St. Pauli Amateure (for the first time in the amateur league).

The winner was SC Victoria Hamburg . Together with the second-placed Harburger TB 1865 , he took part in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord . Victoria finished first in his group and was defeated by VfB Oldenburg in the decider . Harburg only remained in the last place in his group, which meant that no Hamburg team could advance.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last three places. The amateur team of FC St. Pauli had to leave the amateur league after one season, VfL Stade after 13 seasons and HEBC Hamburg after three seasons.
