The Hamburg State Football League 1964/65 was the 20th season of the top amateur class in Hamburg . The Landesliga Hamburg was a league level below the Regionalliga Nord . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst came back to the regional league after a year from the Regionalliga Nord, plus the three promoted HEBC Hamburg (return after four years), TuS Hamburg 1880 (return after ten years) and TSV Sasel (for the first time in the national league).

The winner was SC Sperber Hamburg . Together with the runner-up TSV Uetersen he took part in the promotion round to Regionalliga Nord . There Sperber finished his group in last place and Uetersen his group in second place, which meant that both of them missed the climb.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last four places. The SV Blankenese , the Buxtehuder SV and SC Urania Hamburg had the league after two seasons leave the amateur team of SC Concordia Hamburg after five seasons.
