The Football Association League Hamburg 1987/88 was the 43rd season of the top amateur class of the Hamburg Football Association . The Association League Hamburg was a league level below the Oberliga Nord . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , no team from the Oberliga Nord came into the association league, only the four promoted Glashütter SV (for the first time in the highest Hamburg amateur class), VfL Stade ( promotion after four years), Holsatia Elmshorn (promotion after ten years) and Bramfelder SV (Resurgence after six years).

The winner was Meiendorfer SV . Together with the runner-up VfL Pinneberg , he took part in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord . Both missed the ascent as the last or penultimate in their group.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last three places. Holsatia Elmshorn and Bramfelder SV had to leave the association league after one season, the FTSV Komet Blankenese after four seasons.
