history

The Reinbeck men's gymnastics club was founded in 1892 when the gymnastics community was taking the initiative against a growing game movement across Germany. The first chairman was Phillip Ganß. The Reinbek gymnastics club emerged from this in 1904 , which merged with the workers gymnastics and sports club to form the Reinbek gymnastics and sports association from 1892 after the Second World War .

The first sports the club offered were hand and soccer, athletics and gymnastics. The school halls in the area were used as sports halls. In 1952, on the 60th anniversary of the association, the association had around 400 members. In the 1960s, the sports offer of TSV Reinbek expanded. Judo, tennis, table tennis, fencing, volleyball, swimming and weight lifting were added.

As early as 1970, TSV Reinbek had almost 2,200 members and is now one of the largest sports clubs in the Stormarn district with around 4,000 members , making it one of the largest sports clubs in Schleswig-Holstein.

Soccer

Football has been played at TSV since the beginning of the 20th century and the TSV teams have also been taking part in competitions since 1946. Football reached its peak in the men's field in Reinbek in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1980 the TSV team made it into the association league, which was the fourth highest division in Germany at the time. At that time there were also friendly matches against Bundesliga teams , such as the 0: 9 against Hertha BSC under coach Kuno Klötzer on July 19, 1978 and on January 15, 1983 it was against the Werder Bremen team , which competed with the former Reinbeker Norbert Meier , even "only" 0: 2.

The youth were also successful during this time.
