Marcus Marin (born December 13, 1966 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player and current player advisor.

Career

Marcus Marin began his professional career in 1988 at Hamburger SV . In the North Germans Marin could not prevail under the coaches Willi Reimann and Gerd-Volker Schock as a regular player, which is why he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1990 with the Stuttgarter Kickers .

At the Kickers Marin developed into a leading player, with his 22 goals in the 1990/91 season he played a significant role in the Stuttgart's ascent to the 1st Bundesliga . In 1992 the center forward moved to 1. FC Kaiserslautern for 1.4 million Deutschmarks . About the intermediate stations FC St. Pauli (back round 1993/94) and FC Sion (first round 1994/95) Marin signed until 1997 with Bundesliga club MSV Duisburg , with whom he managed to return to the upper house immediately after relegation.
