The Hummelsbütteler SV is a German sports club from Hamburg - Hummelsbüttel .
History and football
The Hummelsbütteler SV was founded in the spring of 1929 by dissatisfied members of the SC Sperber Hamburg . After the soccer team had only competed in lower-class Hamburg regional soccer for a long time, the club began to skyrocket in sport in 1974. The real estate agent Peter Bartels was responsible for this and strengthened the team with numerous ex-professionals.
For the first time the club appeared nationally in the DFB Cup 1977/78 . The club was eliminated in the first round against TuS Schloß Neuhaus . In 1980 the club rose to the Oberliga Nord , but missed relegation despite a 13th place in the table, as four teams from the area covered by the league were relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga with Göttingen 05 , Holstein Kiel , OSV Hannover and VfB Oldenburg .
In 1984 the Hummelsbütteler SV returned to the league and caused a sensation there. As second in the table behind second division relegated VfL Osnabrück , the team moved into the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the north group, however, the series ended behind VfL Osnabrück, Tennis Borussia Berlin , Rot-Weiss Essen and SC Eintracht Hamm as bottom of the table. In the same year, the team was again qualified for the DFB Cup, but Kickers Offenbach prevailed 6-1. In the 1985/86 season, seventh in the table, the club withdrew from the game in November 1986 for financial reasons.
A new beginning was dared in the ninth class district class. In 2015, the bumblebees were promoted to the district league, but were withdrawn from gaming on October 16, 2015 with immediate effect.
