The Barsbütteler SV is a sports club from Barsbüttel in Stormarn . The first soccer team played for three years in the Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein Oberliga .

history

The club was founded on November 11, 1948 and initially took part in the game operations of the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association . After switching to the Hamburg Football Association , manager Werner Gorski and later HSV President Ronald Wulff laid the foundations for the sporting upswing in the 1980s . In 1981 the BSV rose to the state league and five years later to the association league. The team stayed in the upper house of Hamburg for three years and managed to rise again in 1992.

Two years after the promotion, the BSV qualified for the newly created Oberliga Hamburg / Schleswig-Holstein and reached its sporting zenith in the 1994/95 season under coach Bert Ehm with sixth place. Two years later, the Barsbüttel team had to relegate , as three teams from the Regionalliga Nord were relegated to the Oberliga. Back in the Verbandsliga Hamburg , the team only narrowly missed the possible re-promotion in 1999. After the season all sponsors withdrew and the team, which had been unpaid for months, fell apart.

With a full six points, the BSV was relegated from the association league in 2000. With a strongly rejuvenated team, they were promoted again three years later. In 2006 the BSV was relegated again from the association league and has been playing in the district league since 2008. Four years later, he was promoted to the regional league, before relegated to the district league in 2017.
