The MusikZentrum Hannover , founded in 1993, is an event center in Hannover .

The MusikZentrum includes a recording studio and rehearsal rooms for musicians. The MusikZentrum is the seat of the offices of the regional rock working group in Lower Saxony , the Hanover Rock Office and the German Rock Music Foundation . The MusikZentrum is primarily involved in promoting young people and young talent and offers a comprehensive range of services from renting out rehearsal rooms, coaching and advice, music production to the creation of sound carriers. The carrier is the music center non-profit GmbH.

Events

Various types of events are held in the music center. The music center is one of the most important stages in the city, along with the Hanover Capitol and the FAUST event center . Some well-known artists and bands have performed there so far, for example: Die Happy , the Michael Schenker Group , Blumfeld , Thomas Godoj , Jan Josef Liefers , Smudo or Fury in the Slaughterhouse . In addition, concert series such as Emergenza or the Sixpack take place in the hall, which can seat around 500 spectators . A rehearsal stage is also available. Other events include theater performances, musical theater, workshops and seminars.

Together with the Hanover State Opera and the TVN Group Film & TV Productions as well as 50 young people, the project Rheingold - the film , was created under the direction of Franziska Stünkel . This is the Wagner opera, which was reinterpreted by the youngsters in music clip format. The project was awarded the Music Education Prize of the Lower Saxony Music State and the Lower Saxony Sparkasse Foundation.

Studio / rehearsal rooms

The music center has a modern recording studio and more than 50 rehearsal rooms, which are housed in several converted, former air raid shelters and are spread over the city of Hanover. The music center's Rockmobil carries out projects for children and young people in youth centers, schools and other institutions. Another focus is the work with children and young people who have committed criminal offenses, as well as with mentally and physically handicapped children and young people.
