The TVN Group Holding GmbH & Co. KG (also TVN GROUP ) is a film - and television companies of Madsack Media Group . The head office is at Goseriede 9 in the Anzeiger high-rise in Hanover . The Anzeiger high-rise is the headquarters of the TVN Group.

With the introduction of the dual broadcasting system, Madsack added television services to its media offering by founding TVN. TVN started broadcasting some regional programs as early as 1984. Since 1989 the regional programs of Sat.1 have been produced in northern Germany.

From 1998 the TVN subsidiary AZ Media TV GmbH received the third party broadcasting licenses from RTL . For the program window she produces contributions such as “ 30 Minuten Deutschland ”, “ Die große Reportage ” or “ Yolo TV ”. The last broadcast license transferred had a term from July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2018. In 2007, the TVN Group took over 90 percent of the shares in AZ Media TV and AZ Media Technology and thus became the new main owner of what was owned by Lower Saxony Landesmedienanstalt , the KEK and the Bundeskartellamt .

TVN had mobile transmission containers designed for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City . The containers could be transported in Boeing 747 aircraft and were only built into a complete broadcast control room on site. In 2006, the TV service provider bought an HD broadcast van, which has since been used largely in the sports and entertainment sectors. It was used for the first time at the 2006 World Cup in Munich for the pay-TV channel Premiere .

As part of a diversification strategy, Studio Hamburg GmbH parted with its 30 percent stake in TVN in 2008 , making the Madsack publishing group once again the 100 percent owner.

In 2016, Sat.1 Norddeutschland extended the broadcasting operations of its two regional programs with the TVN group until 2021. In addition to Lower Saxony / Bremen and Schleswig-Holstein, the production scope has also included the Hamburg location, from where the live broadcasts have been produced since 2016.

Thanks to special permits, the live images for the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester could also be filmed from the air at the opening of the new Hamburg Elbphilharmonie concert hall in 2017 from a height of 120 m .

TVN has been producing its television broadcasts in football in HDR quality since 2017 . At the game between Borussia Mönchengladbach and RB Leipzig on February 19, 2017 , the technology was tested for the first time under real conditions across Germany.

The TVN Group maintains a total of four television studios across Germany. Studio 1 in the Hanover media center in the Anzeiger high-rise realizes recordings for talk shows and interviews in two production areas. Studio 3 is located near the motorway slip road in Wohlenbergstrasse in Hanover and is better known as the bingo studio . With almost 700 m², the studio is the company's largest. The administrative center of the TVN Mobile Production division is also located in this building complex. Most of the broadcast vehicles are also stationed there.

Studio 4 is also located at the TVN location in Wohlenbergstrasse. With an area of ​​250 m² it is the group's second largest studio.
