Andre Zalbertus (born March 30, 1960 in Düsseldorf ) is a German television journalist and book author . He was the founder of AZ Media GmbH and formerly managing director of the Cologne and Düsseldorf local television stations of the same name, center.tv .

Life

The historian and Germanist Zalbertus worked as a Berlin reporter for ZDF in 1989 . From 1990 to 1994 he worked as a foreign correspondent for RTL in Russia . Since 1997 he has been teaching at the German School of Journalism in Munich. In his production company AZ Media , he was one of the first in Germany to train young reporters to become video journalists in collaboration with Michael Rosenblum . In the media scene he is controversial because of his preference for video journalism. Zalbertus himself makes no secret of the fact that it is also cost reasons that move him to employ video journalists instead of regular television writers.

In 2005 he founded the local broadcaster center.tv Cologne. Zalbertus sold his company AZ Media in 2007 to the Madsack publishing group. In 2007 he founded centerstone AG as the parent company for the currently four center.tv GmbHs.

In 2008 he took part as a "secret helper" in the broadcast of the same name on Sat.1.

From August 2013 to August 2014 Zalbertus held the position of managing director of Carlsplatz GmbH in Düsseldorf.

On September 1st, 2018 Andre Zalbertus started the Zalbertus Media Group Corp. AG from Vancouver (Canada, ISIN: CA98888M1023) and Düsseldorf has its daily live broadcast on Facebook with good news for a better world . The topics are food, drink, football and music.
