The Football Association League Hamburg 1989/90 was the 45th season of the top amateur class of the Hamburg Football Association . The Association League Hamburg was a league level below the Oberliga Nord . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , no team from the Oberliga Nord came into the association league, only the three promoted FTSV Komet Blankenese ( promotion after one season), HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst (return after seven years) and SV Ochsenwerder (for the first time in the highest Hamburg amateur class) .

The winner was VfL Stade . Together with the runner-up FC Süderelbe , he took part in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord . Stade won his group and was promoted to the Oberliga Nord for the first time. The FC Süderelbe missed promotion as third in its group.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last three places. SV Ochsenwerder had to leave the association league after one season, HEBC Hamburg and TuRa Harksheide after two seasons.
