The Hamburg Amateur Football League 1962/63 was the 18th season of the top amateur class in Hamburg . The Hamburg amateur league was a league level below the Northern Oberliga . It was held in a relay.

Compared to the previous season , no team from the Oberliga Nord came into the amateur league, only the three promoted TuS Güldenstern Stade ( promotion after one season), HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst and Germania Schnelsen (both in the amateur league for the first time).

The winner was HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst. Together with the runner-up SC Victoria Hamburg he took part in the qualification for the Regionalliga Nord . There both reached the ascent.

At the end of the season, the teams had to relegate to the last three places. The two promoted Germania Schnelsen and TuS Güldenstern Stade had to relegate again after one season. With Union 03 Altona , the last founding member left the league after 18 years.
