The Association League Niederrhein 1961/62 was the 6th season of the Association League Niederrhein , which from 1957 to 1978 was the top division in Lower Rhine amateur football for men. Until 1963, this league, together with the association leagues Middle Rhine and Westphalia, represented the substructure of the II. West Division and was third-class in the German football league system of that time .

Season end

The Duisburg FV 08 became Lower Rhine Champion. In the promotion round to the 2nd Division West against Middle Rhine and Westphalia champions Duisburg reached only the last place, but TuRa Bonn waived the promotion and Duisburg was allowed to move up to the II. Division anyway.

The 1. FC Bocholt and TuS Lintfort promoted to the division Niederrhein from. Hamborn 90 , SV Sterkrade-Nord and Union Ohligs rose from the national leagues for the new 1962/63 season . Relegated VfL Benrath came from the II. Division .
