The Niederrhein Association League 1965/66 was the 10th season of the Niederrhein Association League , which was the top division of men's amateur football from 1957 to 1978 . From 1963 to 1974, this league, together with the association leagues Middle Rhine and Westphalia, formed the substructure of the Regionalliga West and was third-class in the German football league system of that time .

Season end

The VfR Neuss was Niederrhein champion and was promoted to the Regionalliga West. The SV Moenchengladbach and Homberger SV rose to the division Niederrhein from. The third relegated had to be determined in a playoff between the equal points BV Altenessen 06 and Schwarz-Weiß Alstaden . Alstaden won and was allowed to stay in the league, while Altenessen had to relegate. Rose to new from the national leagues 1966/67 season of Duisburg FV 08 , Marathon Remscheid and SpVgg Sterkrade-Nord on.   Relegated VfB Bottrop was added from the Regionalliga-West .

The Homberger SV merged after this season with the SpVgg Hochheide to VfB Homberg .
