Schwarz-Weiß Alstaden (full name: Football Association Schwarz-Weiß 09/36 Oberhausen – Alstaden eV ) is a football club from the Oberhausen district of Alstaden in North Rhine-Westphalia . The club emerged in 1962 from the merger of the Alstadener Sportverein Elmar 09 and the VfR 1936 Alstaden.

history

The club has had an eventful merger history. The roots of the club lie in the founding of Borussia 09 Alstaden on September 1st, 1909. Elmar 09 Alstaden was created in 1934 through the merger with the Alstadener Sportverein from 1912 and Elmar 1919 . The later merger partner club for lawn games 1936 Alstaden played from 1936 to 1942 as WKG Zeche Alstaden.

After the Second World War, Elmar Alstaden played in the Landesliga Niederrhein , the top amateur class at the time. In 1952 the championship title was won, but due to a league reform it was not enough for promotion to the 2nd League West . In the following seasons, the club continued to sag until it merged with VfR in 1962. Under a new name Fvg. Schwarz-Weiß Alstaden made the jump from the district class to the state league and in 1964, with the renewed championship title, promotion to the Niederrhein association league , the highest German amateur class, was achieved. Here the club held from 1964 to 1967, after relegation there were five more years in the national league before the fall began in the lower amateur classes. Since then, the teams from Schwarz-Weiß Alstaden have played in the leagues of the Oberhausen-Bottrop football district.
