    Promotion and German amateur championship

    As Bremen representative, SV Hemelingen took part in the subsequent round of promotion to the Oberliga Nord , but had no success there.

    The amateurs from Werder Bremen took part in the German amateur championship in 1962 and were eliminated in the semifinals by a 1: 2 defeat against TuRa Bonn .
