    Promotion and German amateur championship

    The master Bremen 1860 had no success in the subsequent round of promotion to the Oberliga Nord .

    As Bremen representative, TuRa Bremen took part in the German Amateur Championship in 1953 and was eliminated in the preliminary round after group games against VfB 03 Bielefeld , Hertha Zehlendorf and TuS Güldenstern Stade .
