The Hastedter TSV is a sports club from the Bremen district of Hastedt, Hemelingen district . Today it is divided into the four departments badminton, handball, ju-jutsu and gymnastics. The greatest success in the club's history was the runner-up in the 2. Bundesliga North in women's handball (1992).

history

The first sports club in Hastedt was founded on August 22, 1861 as a men's gymnastics club in Hastedt . From 1902 he called himself Hastedter MTV and from 1903 also took on women. As a second sports club, the Hastedt Workers' Gymnastics Club was founded on July 1, 1897 , which was renamed TV Vorwärts Hastedt in 1905 and from that year also accepted women. It was banned in 1933 and re-established on October 26, 1945 as TSV Vorwärts Hastedt . On August 30, 1947, both clubs merged and have been called Hastedter TSV ever since .

Greatest successes

Handball (women)

The first women's handball team played in the 2nd Bundesliga for six years . The TSV handball players were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga North in 1989. There they took third place straight away ( 1989/90 season ). The greatest success in the club's history was the runner-up in the 1991/92 season . Four years later, the club withdrew the team from the league. Between 2005 and 2008 the HTSV played again in the third-class Regionalliga Nord . In the 2006/07 season the team took part in the DHB Cup and lost to SG Misburg in the third round . With Natalie Hagel , the HTSV produced a German national player.

Soccer (men)

The first soccer team played for four years in the highest amateur league in Bremen. In 1947, the footballers of the HTSV were among the founding members of the Bremen State League , which was held until 1953. After a temporary crash in the district league in 1957, six years later he returned to the Bremen House of Lords, where the team was mostly to be found in the midfield. In 1970 the class could only just be held before the HTSV was runner-up behind the SV Bremen police a year later . This qualified the team for the German Amateur Championship , where they were eliminated in the first round against FSV Frankfurt . A year later, the Hastedter won the Bremen Cup with a 4-1 win against OT Bremen and eliminated in the first round of the North German Cup against Arminia Hannover . In 1974 the HTSV was relegated from the regional league and after further relegations came in 1983 in the regional league B. At the end of the 1980s it went up again and in the 1994/95 season the team reached the association league again. After relegation from the Bremen regional league , the HTSV played in the regional league until 2008. After relegation, the football department merged with that of Post SV Bremen to form BSC Hastedt .

Hockey (women)

The first women's hockey team reached the finals of the German Indoor Hockey Championship twice .
