In the 1973/74 season , the West German ice hockey regional league was played in only one northern group. After the introduction of the 2nd Bundesliga this season, almost all regional league clubs moved up to the top division . In the north a new regional league was formed, which now formed the fourth division. In the south there were still the regional leagues, i.e. Bayernliga and the Baden-Württemberg League fourth division. Only in the following season was the Regionalliga Süd played again.

Results
FASS Berlin became the master.
