As in the previous season , the Regionalliga was played in three regional groups: South, South-West and North-West.

In the group

• South was first carried out a preliminary round with 12 teams as a single round - then there was a play-off round
• North-West was played a preliminary round with 9 teams as a single round - after that the first two played in the final North / West against South / West
• South-West was first carried out a preliminary round with 8 teams as a single round and then the first two played in the final round North / West against South / West.

Regional league south

Before the start of the season, the TSV Trostberg team was withdrawn from the league in the Bavarian State League for financial reasons .
