The club was founded in 1863 as a gymnastics club. After the First World War , a football team was founded in the club . After parts of the club were outsourced to a workers' sports club due to sports association policy in 1928, the reunification of the current club took place in 1933. Ice Hockey Department

The ice hockey department within the TSV was founded in 1973. In the 1974/75 season, a team took part in the Bavarian Ice Sports Association's operations for the first time in what was then the Bavarian regional league and for the 1975/76 season was divided into the Bavarian regional league , in which the group could be won and the qualification via the promotion round succeeded for the ice hockey Bayernliga . In the 1978/79 season, the team succeeded in advancing to the regional ice hockey league . Between the 1979/80 and 1981/82 seasons , the team stayed in the regional league, before the team was withdrawn for financial reasons and from the 1982/83 season again participated in the Bavarian regional league. For the 1984/85 season , the team took part in a march through the Bayern League again in the Regionalliga.
